Community Investment

Community investment is about having a purpose.

As a company with a long-term outlook, we believe we have the dual responsibility to drive business results AND be a force in the community. We want to make a positive difference by helping people reach their potential.

This is important to our employees and aligns with our core values at MEG. MEG gets out into our communities, listens to our stakeholders about their challenges and opportunities and then creates strategies to drive measurable change through our defined focus areas: Children & Youth, Education, Health & Wellness. The investments we make allow communities and organizations to transform lives and provide hope for those in need.

Between 2014 and 2019, MEG invested nearly $12 million in programs to strengthen our communities.

MEG accepts the #3things4neighbours Challenge

MEG has stepped up to share 3 ways it has supported the communities where we live as part of the #3things4neighbours community campaign. The social media campaign asks Calgary organizations to share how they have supported communities since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Thanks to Rob Broen of Athabasca Oil for the nomination!

MEG employees get involved!

MEGTeamKrista.jpgMEG employees support one another and their communities.  We often champion causes together – throughout the years we have participated in The Big Mo for Movember (providing funds and awareness for men’s health), The Ride to Conquer Cancer, STARS Air Rescue and the CUPS Adopt-A-Family program.

We believe in what our employees support by administering MEGMatch, MEGVolunteers and employee requests. MEG is committed to collaborating with our communities to create positive outcomes.
